If it's the last thing I evvver dooo!
Ya'll remember that tune? Twas a fav in VN.
'Course, I modified the wording a little for this note.
I have been bogged down with numerous tasks and loose ends that seem to take forever to complete. The cabinetry work is almost complete...just a few loose ends on the jacuzzi skirt and the cabinets under the full wall mantle. When those are done I'll leave the last making of the wine cooler cabinet to my friend Jerry. He'll do fine without me.
I figure it will take me another 3 days to finish the other loose ends, replan my trip (order of destinations and schedule), prepare Sophia (My Road King), and then depart on a very early cool morning to avoid LA/OC Traffic.
I had 19 tasks to complete. The list is now down to 15.
The biggest one is the replan of the trip. I'll have to move destination goals scheduled for the end of May to be goals for the October-November time frame.
An example: Mojave desert and Death Valley....temps are now in the 115 deg level. It'll be nicer and more fun riding there in Oct or Nov when the temps will be in the 70's or so.
But when the departure time comes I will be sooooo happy to be on the road, free, no house worries, no kids, no grand kids, no limits. Just the wind and my own thoughts.
I like that....that's tasting freedom and seeing America.
Can't get any better than that
