Ok, maybe "techincally" we are not a brotherhood but for all practical puposes I think we are like a brotherhood.

It can go either way. I remember the day when there were so few of us that you would get a 99% response when you waived at a fellow rider. Same with British sports cars, back in my British sports car days, (1965 MG Midget 1968 MGB), we all waived at each other....this was in Germany, and also Southern Califfornia.
It seems like now if you are not riding the same or similar brand you won't get a response. I think part of it is the tough guy, costume party, muscle shirt, or pajama bottom crowd and the ricky racer crowd, that figure it is not cool to waive at a brand X bike.....too bad, we used celebrate being different but we knew we were all the same......
Having said that, if you happen to meet one of the above described riders when they are not riding with their "pack" they are typically like the rest of us....just guys and gals that love to ride....
